Obie is a premium online rental platform specializing in baby clothing from newborn to 12 months. We’re on a mission to make luxury babywear more accessible—saving you money while being kinder to the planet.

As friends and family around me started welcoming little ones into the world, I found myself constantly questioning the practicality of spending at least $50 on a newborn cardigan—something that might be worn once, maybe twice. It felt like a waste—not just for my wallet, but for the planet too. And that was just me as a gift-giver—I could only imagine how overwhelming it must feel for new parents stocking an entire closet for a baby who seems to grow by the hour.

That’s when the idea for Obie was born!

I had what felt like an epiphany: if so many companies can thrive by renting out high-end clothing for adults, surely there's an even bigger need for a smarter solution in the baby world. So, I took a leap of faith—and here we are!

At Obie, we’re here to make life a little easier (and a lot more stylish) for new parents. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between quality and cost. With Obie, you really can have your cake and eat it too!

At Obie, we’re all about flexibility—because parenting doesn’t come with a one-size-fits-all model, and neither should renting baby clothes.

We’re proudly not a subscription service. That means you can rent as many (or as few!) pieces as you like, whenever it works for you.

To help us keep things running smoothly, we offer three rental periods: 30, 60, or 90 days—whatever suits your pace.

Best of all? Our rentals typically cost just 10–20% of the retail price, making luxury babywear more accessible than ever.

No minimum order required! However, we do recommend spending $49 or more to enjoy free shipping on your order.

Yes! We know some outfits become part of unforgettable memories. If you’d like to keep a piece for the baby book—or just because—simply hang onto it. You’ll be charged just 60% of the retail price, and it’s yours to keep, no questions asked!

Nope! The last thing we want to do is add extra laundry to your already busy day— so we’ve got the cleaning covered! Just enjoy the pieces, and when you’re ready, send them back to us fresh and worry-free.

We carefully follow all manufacturer-recommended washing instructions for every item. Everything is washed in gentle, dermatologist-recommended detergent we selected after thoughtful research. However, every baby’s skin is different, so if your little one has sensitivities or allergies, we encourage you to rewash any items before use for added peace of mind.

We get it—parenthood is wonderfully messy, and we don’t want stains to add extra stress.

If something spills or splatters on a rented item, please treat it with a stain remover you already have laying around and wash according to the care instructions. We carefully inspect every item & will work our magic to get the item back into our rental rotation.
